I'm excited to share some wonderful news. I've been awarded a grant to offer pro bono coaching to members of Widowed & Young (WAY) - a UK charity that provides peer-to-peer support for those who have lost their partner before they are 50 years old.
Through this grant, I'm able to offer a discovery call and 6 x 60-minute coaching sessions completely free of charge to 10 WAY members. This opportunity has been made possible by The Butterfly Fund, the charitable arm of Sladen Consulting. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of something that gives back in such a meaningful way.
Grief can change everything. It can shift your sense of identity, direction and what the future looks like. Organisations like WAY create spaces where people can connect with others who truly understand, people who have lived through a similar loss and can sadly say, "I get it."
Coaching, alongside that support, can offer something slightly different, a space to gently explore what comes next. Not to rush anything, not to "fix" anything, but to begin, in your own time, to re-find your footing.
I know from experience just how valuable this kind of support can be. WAY has been a huge part of me finding my path forwards. Through WAY I found an amazing group of "Widow Friends" which is a term I could never have imagined using, but they've literally saved me by lending an ear for conversations my other friends just couldn't have understood.
This free coaching is there for those who feel ready (or even just curious) about taking a small step forward. There's no pressure, no expectations. Just a supportive, confidential space to talk, reflect, and begin to rebuild a sense of direction, in whatever way feels right for you.
It's a real privilege to be able to offer this to such an incredible community. If you're a member of WAY and feel this might be helpful, I would be honoured to work with you. And to The Butterfly Fund and Sladen Consulting - thank you for making this possible.
